Emma L. Wright (1850-1926) was born in Hicksville, Ohio, and died in Madison, Wisconsin. She worked as a store clerk. Wright first married Ned Woodman, whom she divorced, and later married Jesse W. Edelman in 1881. Her mother, Lucy B. Wright, studied with Silas J. Sawyer, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
