John H. Wilson (1810-1902) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and died in
Oden, Michigan. He began his career as a teacher and later became a minister. He married
Clarissa Wilson (b. Dickinson) in Elbridge, New York, in 1841. They moved to Mill Creek,
Ohio, by 1860. In the early 1870s the Wilsons moved to Campbell, Missouri, and resided
with their daughter Clara W. Johnson (b. Wilson) and her family. She was a student of
Christian Science who became a practitioner and a member of The First Church of Christ,
Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. After his wife's death in 1898, Wilson resided with
his daughter Emma E. Sanders (b. Wilson) and her family in Cincinnati, Ohio.
