Altus T. Wilson (1858-1919) was born in New York and died in Denver, Colorado. He attended Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan, and later married his college classmate Mary R. Wilson (b. Russell) in Hillsdale in 1882. She became interested in metaphysical healing while living in Las Vegas, New Mexico, in 1886 and became a student of Mary Baker Eddy, despite his protestations. It is unclear what happened to Mary after 1887, but Wilson married Mabel L. Wilson (b. Tyler) in Denver in 1893. During the 1910s he worked as an auto dealer.
