M. Virginia Willsie (b. Wisherd) (1859-1931) was born in Buckheart, Illinois, and died in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1880 she moved to Tarkio, Missouri, where she married Hervey H. Willsie, a farmer, in 1884. He was the brother of Lucinda Willsie, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, a practitioner and teacher of Christian Science, and active in establishing Christian Science in Chicago, Illinois. Virginia Willsie joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 1, 1898. Her husband died in 1914, and Willsie moved to Omaha in about 1919, where she remained for the rest of her life.
