Adeline Williams (1834-1889) was born in Mansfield, Massachusetts, and
died in Augusta, Maine. She was a physician who practiced in Worcester, Massachusetts,
from 1881 to 1889. Williams was a graduate of the New England Female Medical College and
the New York Medical College for Women. Before becoming a physician, she taught at a
freedmen's school in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
