Mary E. Willey (1839-1906) was born in Parsonsfield, Maine, and died in
Chicago, Illinois. She became interested in Christian Science in May 1884 after hearing
Mary Baker Eddy speak at Hershey Hall in Chicago. Shortly afterwards she took Primary
class instruction with Bradford Sherman, a student of Eddy's. Willey was a member of
Third Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago. She joined The First Church of Christ,
Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, in June 1901 and was a member until her
passing.
