F. A. Wheeler (1840-1907) was born and died in Taunton, Massachusetts. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in October 1882. She joined the Christian Scientist Association shortly after in November 1882. In July 1889, after a long period of inactivity, her membership in the Association ended officially after a vote by the membership.
