Ami H. Wheeler (1835-1910) was born in Canada and died in South Bend,
Indiana. In 1859, he married Elizabeth Wheeler (b. Proudfit). Wheeler conducted a men's
furnishing establishment and later manufactured patent medicines. He wrote to Mary Baker
Eddy in 1886, in his role as the secretary of a business interest called the Agents'
Supply House, to ask about ordering her books for sale.
