Philo H. Weaver (1839-1916) was born in Chautauqua County, New York, and
died in Jamestown, Chautauqua County, New York. He married Barbara E. Weaver (b.
Slonaker) in 1869. Weaver lived in either Pennsylvania or New York during his adult
life, and he traveled between the two states with some frequency. He worked at several
occupations, including general agent and agent of medicine. He wrote to Eddy several
times in the late 1880s to express a desire to take class with her and then be able to
teach Christian Science to others, but the records do not indicate that he ever did so.
According to available records, he did not have further formal involvement with
Christian Science.
