Philo H. Weaver (1839-1916) was born in Chautauqua County, New York, and died in Jamestown, Chautauqua County, New York. He married Barbara E. Weaver (b. Slonaker) in 1869. Weaver lived in either Pennsylvania or New York during his adult life, and he traveled between the two states with some frequency. He worked at several occupations, including general agent and agent of medicine. He wrote to Eddy several times in the late 1880s to express a desire to take class with her and then be able to teach Christian Science to others, but the records do not indicate that he ever did so. According to available records, he did not have further formal involvement with Christian Science.
