Margaret D. Ward (1841-1907) was born in Saco, Maine, and died in Clifton Springs, New York. She married James C. Ward in Northampton, Massachusetts, in 1864. In 1887 they moved from Northampton to New York, New York, where Ward joined the Dutch Reformed Church in 1888. Fannie L. Clark, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, used to mark her letters to Eddy care of Ward when Ward was residing in Northampton. There is no record of Ward studying with Eddy or joining The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
