Frank H. Vrooman (1845-1911) was born in Richfield, Ohio, and died in Tampa, Florida. In the early 1860s he moved to Alpena, Michigan, where he worked as an accountant, bookkeeper, and notary public. He married Emeline B. (St. Clair) Vrooman in 1875. Around 1900 the Vroomans moved to Chicago, Illinois, and then to Rockford, Illinois. They divorced around 1908. Subsequently, Frank married Effie M. Vrooman and they moved to Daytona Beach, Florida, where he lived the remainder of his life. In June 1886, Vrooman wrote to the Massachusetts Metaphysical College to order copies of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Christian Healing, and The People's Idea of God. Based on the records available, we have found no further information concerning his involvement with Christian Science.
