Charles N. Vroom (1854-1936) was born and died in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada. In 1891, he married Elizabeth McAllister Vroom (b. Brown). Vroom worked as a clerk or bookkeeper for various companies before going into business with C. B. Eaton to manufacture larrigans, oiled leather boots worn by trappers. Later, he served as a Justice of the Peace. In 1886, Vroom wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order Christian Science literature.
