Alice M. Veazey (b. Buck) (1857-1929) was born in Hartford, Connecticut,
and died in Middletown, New York. In Hartford in 1881 she married John H. Veazey, an
Episcopal minister, and thereafter they moved to Sherman, Maine. John was a student of
Mary Baker Eddy's and a member of the Christian Scientist Association. The Veazeys lived
briefly in New Jersey before relocating to Norfolk, Virginia, in 1888, in hopes of
improving John's health and to open a photograph gallery. However, John passed away soon
after, and Alice subsequently went to live with her daughter's family, first in
Connecticut and then in New York, where she remained until her passing.
