Anna E. Tucker (b. Pope) (1855-1920) was born in Kane, Illinois, and died in Pampa, Texas. She moved to Wichita, Kansas, with her parents in 1872 and married Whitney R. Tucker, a real estate and investment businessman, in 1878. Tucker joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on December 31, 1892. She was a student of both Susan H. Davidson and Alfred Farlow, who were students of Mary Baker Eddy's. Although she expressed an interest in studying with Eddy herself, there is no record of her doing so. She served as First Reader at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Wichita, Kansas. Tucker was listed in the directory of The Christian Science Journal as a Christian Science practitioner in Wichita from 1894 until her death.
