Alexander H. Trowbridge (1838-1915) was born in Hamilton, Ontario,
Canada, and died in Danvers, Massachusetts. Trowbridge served as a sailor during the
Civil War and was Deputy Clerk of the Circuit Court of the United States for the
district of Massachusetts during the Eddy v. Arens lawsuit decision in 1883. There is no
record of him studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ
(Scientist).
