Orson E. Train (1820-1903) was born in Whately, Massachusetts, and died in Northampton, Massachusetts. In 1847, he married Eliza G. Train (b. Bailey). Train was a carpenter and Civil War veteran, he served as a private in the 37th Infantry and was wounded in battle at Petersburg, Virginia. In 1886, he wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. He was still involved with Christian Science in 1888, when he wrote to the Publishing Society to order more literature.
