Joa C. Thomas (b. Perew) (1857-1922) was born in Ohio and died in Lakewood, Ohio. She married Joseph H. Thomas, a salesman for American LaFrance, in 1885. They resided in Cleveland, Ohio, before moving to Elmira, New York, sometime after 1900, and they returned to Ohio around 1916. In 1886, Thomas wrote to Mary Baker Eddy inquiring where she could obtain literature and learn more about Christian Science.
