James B. Taylor (1850-1932) was born in Kentucky and died in Oakland, California. He was a physician who graduated from the Columbia University School of Medicine, New York, in 1882. After graduating he practiced in Bloomington, Illinois, for nearly 40 years. In 1886 he wrote to Ellen Brown Linscott, discussing the principles of Christian Science.
