Sarah S. Tappan (1841-?) was born in Massachusetts and died in an unknown location. She worked in both a jewelry shop and a button factory. Tappan wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1885, looking for information on Christian Science. There is no record of Tappan studying with Eddy or uniting with The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
