Jane L. Straw (c.1826-1906) was born in Milton, New Hampshire, and died in Bedford, Massachusetts. She was first a student of Edward J. Arens' and then of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in the spring of 1881. Straw was an active member of the Christian Scientist Association and the early Church from April 1881 until her resignation, along with eight other students, in October 1881.
