George F. Spaulding (1823-1900) was born in Hardwick, Vermont, and died in Medford, Massachusetts. For over 40 years he was part owner of the Boston Traveler newspaper. During his early career he worked in the advertising department of several Boston newspapers, including the Globe and Commercial Bulletin.
