Margaret Smith
Margaret Smith (c.1831-1908) was born in New York and died in Columbus,
Wisconsin. She was the aunt of Fannie M. Silsbee and the friend and neighbor of Mattie
Williams. Silsbee and Williams were both students of Mary Baker Eddy's and organizers of
the early Christian Science movement in Milwaukee and Columbus, Wisconsin, respectively.
There is no record of Smith studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of
Christ (Scientist).
