Helen P. Smith (1831-1919) was born in New York and died in Rochester,
New York. She married Francis M. Smith, a farmer. Smith was a student of Mary Baker
Eddy's, completing the Primary class in March 1888. She was a member of the Christian
Scientist Association. Smith joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston,
Massachusetts, on March 31, 1894. She was listed in the directory of
The Christian Science Journal as a Christian Science teacher and practitioner
in Rochester from 1899 until her death. Both of her younger sisters, Sarah A. Pine and
Mary A. Pine, were also active in Christian Science.
