Willard Small (1830-1904) was born in Levant, Maine, and died in Malden,
Massachusetts. He was a book publisher who founded his own imprint in 1881, running it
until 1901 when his children took over running the business. In 1885, Kate L. Morse
wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to ask for information about studying at the Massachusetts
Metaphysical College and named Small as a reference.
