Fred W. Sisson (1862-1908) was born in Galesburg, Illinois, and died in
Los Angeles, California. He was an employee of the Avery Manufacturing Company in
Peoria, Illinois, before moving to Flagstaff, Arizona, in 1887 to become treasurer of
the Arizona Lumber & Timber Company. In 1886 he wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order
her writings, expressing an interest in studying at the Massachusetts Metaphysical
College. His interest in Christian Science appears to have been short-lived and there is
no record of him studying at the College.
