Charles H. Sisson (1843-1924) was born and died in Penn Yan, New York. He was a Civil War veteran who served as a private in Company B of the 60th Regiment, New York Infantry. He worked as a boot and shoe dealer and as an insurance agent. Sisson married Frances E. Seely in 1872. He wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1885, asking for help to heal his daughter, Eva M. Sisson. There is no record of Sisson studying with Eddy or uniting with The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
