Lorain H. Simmonds (c.1825-1889) was born in New York and died in
Potsdam, New York. She studied with William T. Seaver, who was a student of Mary Baker
Eddy's. Simmonds wrote to Eddy in 1886 for copies of her writings and requested to be an
agent for sales of
Science and Health with Key to the
Scriptures in New York. Based on the records available, we have found no
further information concerning her involvement with Christian Science.
