Mary W. Siedentopf
Mary W. Siedentopf (c.1852-1894) was born in Highland, Illinois, and died
in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Mary and her sister, Lizzie L. Filbert, became interested in
Christian Science in late 1885. Lizzie went on to take Primary class with Mary Baker
Eddy in March 1886. In 1889 Mary Baker Eddy offered Siedentopf the chance to take
Primary class with Ebenezer J. Foster-Eddy at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College,
but she declined the offer because Mary Baker Eddy was not teaching the class.
