Mary R. Shippey (1855-1896) was born in Windsor, Vermont, and died in San Diego, California. In early 1886, while living in Muskegon, Michigan, she wrote to Mary Baker Eddy, asking for information on her writings and a recommendation for a Christian Science teacher in Michigan.
