Jackson Sharpe (1815-1897) was born in Lincolnshire, England, and died in Rock Falls, Illinois. He wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1885, asking for advice on Christian Science treatment through prayer for his wife, Rhoda K. Sharpe. There is no record of Sharpe studying with Mary Baker Eddy or joining The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
