Emily F. Seal (1838-1920) was born in Buckingham, Pennsylvania, and died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a student of Erastus N. Bates', taking Primary class instruction with him at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College in 1889. There is no record of Seal studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
