Thomas P. Sargent (1830-1890) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died in Coronado, California. He graduated from Dartmouth College (1852) and for many years worked as a purchasing agent for the Camden and Atlantic Railroad. Despite expressing an interest in Christian Science treatment through prayer, there is no record of him studying with or his wife being treated by Mary Baker Eddy.
