Minerva Ryder (1840-1912) was born in New York and died in Marengo, Illinois. She was a student of Emily S. Coursen's. After studying with Coursen, Ryder maintained a healing practice for a short while in Marengo. There is no record of Ryder studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
