Charles H. Rust (1847-1930) was born in Northfield, New Hampshire, and
died in Cincinnati, Ohio. He married Anna D. Brown in Cincinnati in 1876. Rust worked
for the Union Central Life Insurance Corporation which his father, Richard S. (Richard
Sutton) Rust, founded. He was involved with the United States temperance movement,
editing
The Light, a temperance newspaper published in
Cincinnati, from 1886-1888 and serving as Chairman of the Hamilton County Prohibition
Executive Committee. Rust's father was a Baker family friend and a friend of Mary Baker
Eddy's.
