Edwin R. Robbins (1839-1918) was born in Abington, Massachusetts, and died in Lynn, Massachusetts. He rented Mary Baker Eddy's home at 8 Broad Street in Lynn from 1882 until about 1884. Robbins paid $500 a year in rent for the whole building, but sublet the upper tenement while he lived in the lower tenement with his wife, Sophia, and his mother-in-law, Rhoda.
