Sophia B. Rivers (c. 1850-?) was born in New York and died in an unknown location. By 1885, she was widowed and working in Oskaloosa, Iowa, as a music teacher. In 1886, she wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
