William B. Reid (1851-1930) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and died
in Charlton, Massachusetts. He was head clerk and later vice-president of John Wilson
and Son, a printing firm responsible for printing the works of Mary Baker Eddy from 1881
until about 1911. Reid began working at John Wilson and Son in 1865. While working at
the firm, he worked closely with John Wilson and Mary Baker Eddy during the printing of
her works. He recorded these memories in his reminiscence, "Random Recollections," parts
of which were used in
Mary Baker Eddy and Her Books by William
Dana Orcutt.
