Lucinda M. Reeves (1824-1908) was born in Minot, Maine, and died in
Washington, D.C. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in September
1881. Shortly after studying with Eddy, she moved to Washington, D.C., to live with her
son. Reeves was involved with the preparations for the Eddys' visit to Washington, D.C.,
in early 1882. Reeves joined the Christian Scientist Association shortly after studying
with Mary Baker Eddy. She maintained an active healing practice for several years in
Washington, D.C., until she had to leave it for financial reasons.
