Susan E. Reed (c.1832-1917) was born in Salem, Massachusetts, and died in
Boston, Massachusetts. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in June
1876. She was an active member of the Christian Scientist Association and some of the
early meetings were held at her home in Boston. She was expelled from the Association in
October 1880 for breaking the "Fellowship" by-law of the constitution.
