Margaret G. Polk (1843-1916) was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and died in
New York, New York. She was a music teacher who became interested in Christian Science
in early 1886 while living in Freeport, Illinois. Polk intended to study with Mary Baker
Eddy at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, but there is no record of her doing
so.
