Horace T. Perry (1848-1914) was born in Douglas, Massachusetts, and died in Mansfield, Massachusetts. He was a carpenter who became interested in Christian Science in early 1886 and wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of "Christian Healing." Although he showed an interest in Christian Science, he remained a member of First Baptist Church, Mansfield, and was also a member of the now-defunct fraternal order, the Knights of Honor.
