Ann Payne (c.1824-1899) was born in Lubenham, Leicestershire, England, and died in Springfield, Massachusetts. She emigrated to the United States with her husband, William Payne, in 1849. The Paynes settled in Springfield where William worked as a harness maker. There is no record of Ann studying with Mary Baker Eddy or joining the Church of Christ (Scientist).
