Mary R. Oliver (1824-1909) was born in Paris, Maine, and died in San Francisco, California. She was the elder sister of Miranda R. Rice and Dorcas B. Rawson, who were both students of Mary Baker Eddy's and members of the Christian Scientist Association until their resignation, along with eight other students, in October 1881.
