Martha J. Noyes (1835-1893) was born in Landaff, New Hampshire, and
mostly likely died in Lisbon, New Hampshire. She worked as a teacher in the common
schools of Landaff before moving to Lisbon, where she worked as a dressmaker. Although
she expressed an interest in Christian Science, there is no record of her studying with
Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
