Theodore Thornton Munger (1830-1910) was born in Bainbridge, New York,
and died in New Haven, Connecticut. He was a Congregational minister and author who
graduated from Yale College (1851) and Yale Divinity School (1855). He was ordained and
ministered at many churches across New England, including the Congregational Church of
North Adams, Massachusetts. He was considered one of the most popular religious writers
of his time and his books included:
On the Threshold (1881);
The Freedom of Faith (1883);
The Appeal to
Life (1887).
