Mary E. Morse (1850-1923) was born in Albany, New York, and died in
Brattleboro, Vermont. She became interested in Christian Science in early 1885, while
living in Cambridge, Massachusetts. There is no record of who Morse studied with, but
she joined the Christian Scientist Association in January 1885 and was listed as a
Christian Science practitioner in
The Christian Science Journal
from February 1885 until May 1887. Shortly afterwards, she resigned from the Christian
Scientist Association, but she remained a practicing Christian Scientist and later
attended services at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Brattleboro.
