George W. Moore (1824-1891) was born in Wells, Pennsylvania, and died in
St. Paul, Minnesota. He was the husband of Julia T. Moore (who he married in 1859) and
the father of Caroline M. Moore, both of whom studied with Mary Baker Eddy in May 1880.
Moore moved to Minnesota by 1850 and worked there as a printer. After the Civil War, he
was appointed as the deputy collector of the port of St. Paul, a position he held until
the late 1880s when ill health forced him to retire.
