George H. Moore (c. 1832-1906) was born and died in Concord, New Hampshire. He worked as a shoe dealer and married Ellen "Nellie" J. Moore (b. Cram) in 1854. He was a first cousin once removed of Mary Baker Eddy, as his mother, Lydia Moore (b. Baker), was Eddy's first cousin. The Moores joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 1, 1898, and they were members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Concord, New Hampshire. Moore was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, completing the Normal class in November 1898. He was a frequent contributor to the Christian Science periodicals, and he was one of the trustees of the land for First Church of Christ, Scientist, Concord, as well as its treasurer.
