Charles W. Moore (1801-1873) was born and died in Boston, Massachusetts. He was an Honorary Past Grand Master of the Grand Freemason Lodge of Massachusetts and editor of Freemason's Monthly Magazine. The Charles W. Moore Lodge in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, was named after Moore in 1865. Moore published an obituary for George Washington Glover, a Freemason and Mary Baker Eddy's first husband, which appeared in Freemason's Monthly Magazine in 1845.
