Rosella "Rose" J. Merriam (b. Kingsley) (1851-1888) was born and died in Connecticut. In 1873, she married Nelson C. Merriam. He was a member of, director of, and salesman for the first of Foster, Merriam & Co., a foundry in Meriden, Connecticut. He was also a member of the St. Elmo commandery of the Knights Templar, and a member of the Wilson Lodge of the Knights of Honor. In 1886, Jessie L. Hanks wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of The Christian Science Journal for Merriam.
